Michael Ruhlman, occasional judge on the Food Network’s Iron Chef, is the author of a number of books about cooking. Come and hear him talk about his book, The Soul Of A Chef: The Journey Toward Perfection, with time for questions and answers, too. The Friends of the Lorain Public Library, Inc. will host the program which will also include light refreshments. Adults, here is your chance to try making your own pierogis, one of northeast Ohio's favorite ethnic foods. Participants make the dough then finish filling and cooking them at home. The cooking program is inspired by Michael Ruhlman's book, The Soul of a Chef, which will be read and discussed at the Domonkas Branch Library later in September. Class size is limited. Here’s a way to refresh your personal cookbook collection by swapping cookbooks that you own for others that you will find at our cookbook swap day. Just bring your cookbooks to the Library Cookbook Swap; receive one “swap coupon” for each cookbook that you donate. We would also be glad to accept your donations of cookbooks – and cooking magazines - even if you can’t make it to the program that day.
