by Mark Walden – In H.I.V.E., students attend the Higher Institute of Villainous Education, where they learn about stealth, programming and weapons. But Otto, Wing, Shelby and Laura want to get out of the school. The four attempt to escape the institute and leave a life of being a villain behind forever. I liked the plot and all of the action in this amazing book.

Hate List by Jennifer Brown

Hate List
by Jennifer Brown -Hate List is a fictitious book that tells how a girl and her classmates deal with a school shooting. I like this book because kids can relate to it and it has different styles of writing: newspaper articles, flashbacks, and present, that contribute to the whole picture. Hate List gives the reality of the effects a school shooting has on students and brings attention to it.

Nightrise
by Anthony Horowitz -Nightrise is the third book in The Gatekeepers series. It is about two telepathic twins named Scott and Jamie who learn that they are gatekeepers and are two of the five who are meant to join together and stop an ancient evil as old as time itself. I enjoyed this book because it had lots of action and suspense that made it hard for me to stop reading.
