Library Cards
Obtaining A Valid Library Card:
LPLS Greater Access Cards
Ohio residents are eligible for an LPLS Greater Access library card free of charge with photo identification and proof of a current, permanent Ohio address. Cards are issued upon registration at any of our six Libraries and the Bookmobile. Cards must be renewed every year, and will be renewed only when all fines have been paid and overdue materials have been returned. Please report lost or stolen cards immediately. You are responsible for all items borrowed with your library card. There is a $1.00 replacement fee for lost cards. Photo identification and proof of address are required to obtain a replacement card.
CLEVNET Greater Access Cards
An active CLEVNET card or a Greater Access card from any CLEVNET Library also will be honored at LPLS and any other CLEVNET Library. The Cuyahoga County Public Library honors all Greater Access cards. Cuyahoga County Library cards must be activated at a CLEVNET member library before you can use it at any CLEVNET Library.
Youth Library Cards
Children in preschool through grade 8 may register for their own library cards if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who presents proper identification. Children with library cards may check out library materials with some exceptions. Children may not borrow framed art prints or audio-visual equipment. It is the responsibility of parents to monitor the content and the quantity of materials borrowed by their children. Library staff does not monitor materials used in the Library, or those borrowed by children.
